About

Alongside my architecture work, I enjoy helping people get to grips with complex subjects.

I created and maintained an internal five-part course on live-streaming fundamentals; colleagues have used it for onboarding and refresher learning.

Separately, I wrote a five-part public series for Streaming Media on live-video workflows and quality of experience.

I became a father in 2019, and my priorities changed. The pandemic and a house move shaped those years too. I continued working in technology, but I wrote much less publicly. I want work to support the life I share with my family and the people I care about. I’m making more time to write again now, including updating Finance 101 and sharing what I’ve learned about technology architecture.
